Career Catalysts Inc. is a local Canadian owned and operated business, functioning as a catalyst to help people create change in their lives. The company is comprised of career development professionals, each possessing rich and diversified experience in the field of career development.
Career Catalysts provides resources and individualized services for those seeking career direction. Our array of services caters to the career and education inquiries of students, jobseekers, and retirees.

Get expert career guidance through assessments, planning, and personalized information — whether you’re just starting out or shifting direction. Are you: · A High School Student? Discover future options, understand your strengths, interests, and explore education paths. · Post-Secondary Student? Align your studies with a real-world career strategy and actionable goals. · Career Transitioner? Navigate career changes with confidence, clarity, and a strategic plan.
During this process we sit with clients, helping them identify their interests, their experience in careers that align with their skills., values, family life. We do this taking into account remote, hybrid or in person opportunities, job boards, the hidden job market, and navigating the online application forms and applicant tracking systems. We take pride in thinking outside the box of relying on traditional job search and sites, and encouraging networking as well.
After you have completed your resume we have a discussion about how you want your professional self to be portrayed. This included pictures, to work experience, education, professional development, volunteer experience, the use of recommendations and also the advantage of using LinkedIn for job search. We also talk about finding who the recruiters are to address cover letters personally, expanding our network even more.
This is an important process. We work with clients to research the companies they are applying to and interviewing with. During this process, we look at researaching the company values, mission statement, strategic plans, who they are etc. In order to prepare for the interview , incorporating the STAR principle and really digging into behavioural based questions and practicing answers. Information is provided for both online and in person interviews. Building confidence, recognizing that interviews are a conversation between candidate and employers.
